Art in the East Side
A billboard poster by Aoife McGee depicting the potential of a new river bridge connecting the city to the former Sirocco Works site which could be developed as a medium term city park and garden. A proposed ‘Glass Kiln Gardens’ would enclose the remaining brick foundations of the 1776 Glass Kiln, reputedly 120 feet tall, the tallest kiln structure of its time in the British Isles. The bridge could be located on the axis of the Harland and Wolff cranes.
Poster location on Albertbridge Road from 26th August – 8th September
